Fontech’s software to deliver new WiFi service in Sri Lanka!

Fontech’s software will soon be powering a new WiFi service for Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT Group), enabling them to deliver WiFi connectivity on the go to their subscriber base of 4 million people.

SLT Group were looking for a solution that would empower them to deliver a better connectivity experience for their customers, and the flexibility of Fontech’s robust Carrier WiFi Solution was a key factor that shaped their choice. Hardware-agnostic and compatible with any CPE, SLT Group will be integrating Fontech’s software into more than six router models equipped with FTTH, ADSL and LTE technologies. The recent deal also includes Fontech’s Connection Manager which consists of an app available on both iOS and Android for SLT Group’s customers’ devices, and a remote configuration server for device provisioning.

SLT Group has also signed a roaming agreement with us! Mr. Dileepa Wijesundera, CEO of SLT Group commented, “Fontech’s technology will complement our existing services in Sri Lanka through delivering a seamless WiFi experience outside of the home, but we are also excited to offer our customers the convenience of access to over 21 million WiFi hotspots around the world!”

We are currently deploying and integrating the service, targeting hundreds of thousands of CPEs.
