Fon goes to IFA with Gramofon

The coming days are very exciting for Fon! Some of us will be at IFA in Berlin, the global trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances where we will be introducing our latest innovation: Gramofon.

We live in a hyper-connected world, where technology lets us automate our day to day lives to an ever increasing degree, which moving towards a future where our devices will “speak” to each other to resolve our needs. With Gramofon, part of our commitment to the Internet of Things, we are taking another step towards that future. Our new gadget streams cloud music to any sound system. Smartphones and tablets “speak” to the speakers: they act as remotes and WiFi becomes the language that brings everyone together.

At this IFA edition, Gramofon will be supported by two of the biggest players: Spotify and Qualcomm.We put the WiFi technology, Spotify puts the music! Gramofon is fully compatible with Spotify Connect, the best way to play million of Spotify tracks to the speakers. Gramofon and Spotify are officially partners! And soon Gramofon will be also upgraded to incorporate Qualcomm AllPlay, creating a multi-room experience and enabling streaming of high-quality local and cloud-based content.

In the past few weeks, the first units of Gramofon have been shipped to our Kickstarter backers. We have been receiving lots of feedback and great comments. Thanks to you all, it’s great you love Gramofon as much as we do!
